You'll learn how to connect your Solargis Evaluate account to the PV components catalog so you can use your private components in your projects, and how to create catalog accounts for your Evaluate users directly from the integration page.
The Integrations section of Customer admin is where you connect your Solargis account to external services.
For the other administration areas, see Account user management, Application subscriptions, API subscriptions, and Orders and payments, or return to Company account management for an overview.
Prerequisites
An active Solargis account.
An active Solargis Evaluate subscription for connection to the catalog.
Admin user access to your Solargis account administration.
Opening the company admin
You can access the company admin from the Dashboard or by clicking your name icon and selecting Company admin.
Account integrations
In the Integrations section, you can set up your connection to the Solargis PV components catalog (PVCC). Use this integration if components in the public PVCC catalog are not sufficient and you want to use your own components in your Evaluate projects.
Key points to remember:
The connection is established between Solargis Evaluate and PVCC only (no Solargis Prospect connection).
You need to have an active Solargis Evaluate subscription to establish the connection.
Connecting Evaluate to PV components catalog
To connect your Solargis Evaluate account to the PV components catalog:
Go to your Solargis company administration.
Go to Integrations.
Click the "Manage" button next to the PVcomponent.com. Continue with the steps in relevant sections below.
If you have a PVCC account
If you already have PVCC account and want to connect it to your Evaluate account, inside the Integrations/Pvcomponents.com management page:
Click the "I have a PVCC account, I want to connect it" link.
Fill in your PVCC login details. If you are already logged in to PVCC in the same browser, system will skip this step.
Verify that the email and company are correct and click “Allow” to connect.
If you don’t have a PVCC account
If you don’t have PVCC account, inside the Integrations/Pvcomponents.com management page:
Click the "Create a new PVCC company account" link.
On the next page, verify your email and company name are correct, agree to the PVCC terms and conditions, and click “Continue.”
Note: Once you connect your Evaluate account with your PVCC account, all users in the associated PVCC account will see your private catalog components and may use them in their PV energy system designs.
Adding new users to the PV components catalog
If your Evaluate account is connected to the catalog, you can grant access and create PV component catalog account for any user active in your Evaluate subscription directly from the Evaluate’s PVCC integration page:
Click the "Create account in PVCC" link next to the user's name.
On the next page, verify the user and company details, agree to the terms and conditions, and click “Continue.”
Once the system establishes the connection, you will get notified on the screen and connected user will receive PVCC activation email. If you don’t see the pop up, your browser might be blocking it - verify on the browser’s side.
Note: Users with newly created accounts must reset their passwords upon their initial login. Instructions are sent to the registered email address, providing a link to the password configuration page.
Quick access links for catalog integrations
Once connected to the catalog, the integration window offers links to the following features:
To manage the user account created in PVCC, use the link "Manage users in PVCC". You will be redirected to PVCC login page.
To manage the list of components created in PVCC, use the link "Manage my components in PVCC".
If your connection is no longer working, you can reconnect Evaluate with PV component catalog using the “Reconnect” link.
