You'll learn how the Download section is organised and how to work with it: the Reports and Data pages, the Data exports and Design exports tables, how files are delivered depending on their size, and how to filter and customise the tables.
The Download section is where you generate your project's reports and data exports and manage the documents you have already created. It consists of two pages, Reports and Data, which work the same way: each lists your documents in a table and offers the same controls for creating, filtering, archiving, and downloading them.
This document describes the section and how to use it. For the full procedures, including every report type, export format, and parameter option, see Creating reports and data exports. For an introduction to all six sections of the project navigation menu, see Working with Evaluate projects.
What you can download
Reports: A detailed report of your energy system's feasibility, theoretical power output, breakdown of losses, location solar irradiance, and other system-related data. Listed on the Reports page.
Data exports: Your project data in several formats for further processing in 3rd party applications. Listed in the Data exports table on the Data page.
Design exports: Files exported from an energy system's design. Listed in the Design exports table on the Data page.
To learn how to create reports and data exports, how to download them, and examples, see Creating reports and data exports. To export a design from Energy system designer, see Energy system exports.
Note: Reports and data export file sizes may vary based on the extent of the project. Because of this, we handle the file downloads as follows:
Files smaller than 25 MB are sent to the user's email address (reports only).
Larger reports and data exports are zipped and, if smaller than 25 MB, sent to the user's email address.
An email with a link to download the file is sent for files larger than 25 MB.
Filtering and customizing the tables
The Active/Archive dropdown switches between your active documents and the ones you have archived. Only one of the two sets is listed at a time, so if a document you expect to see is missing, check the other view.
The column customization icon to the top right of the table headers lets you choose which columns to display. The Data exports table can show the file name, energy system, format, data source, dataset, date range, temporal resolution, generated date, export ID, and description.
For more details about archiving and filtering, see Creating reports and data exports.
