We will teach you how to create a new project in the Prospect application.
How to create a Prospect project
The creation of a new Prospect project can be summarised into two steps:
Creating a new project: Create a new one in Prospect or import it from the dashboard.
Configuring the PV system: You must configure your PV system to get PV performance and financial analysis for the project.

Importing projects from the Dashboard
If you have a project on the Dashboard that have been created in the Evaluate application, you can import it into Prospect. The process of how to do it is outlined here. You will need to configure the PV system for every imported project.
Starting a new project
Before creating a project, ensure you have selected the correct company profile (customer). This will determine the availability of existing projects and features related to subscription type. New projects are always created under the currently selectred company.
To create a new Prospect project:
Click on the map to select a location or find it using the search field. You can search by address or coordinates.
Click the “Save as project” button to create a project at the selected location. The project will be created and the “Save as project” button will change to an “Open” button.
Click the “Open” button to open the project.
You have successfully created the project. Now, you can proceed to the next step - PV configuration.
PV configuration
You must configure your PV system to get PV performance analysis and financial data. This is configured in the project’s PV configuration section.
While inside your project, navigate to the PV configuration page.
Click the “Change system type” link to start the configuration.
Select the PV system type from the available options.
Alternatively, you can use and copy configuration from another existing project to get the same settings quickly.
Click the “Choose” button to confirm selection. The system with default parameters will be added to the project.
If you want to change the default parameters, use the configuration sections to make amendments. The full list is provided in the Configuration parameters below.
When finished, save using the “Save and calculate” button.
The calculation of the project data will begin once you save the project. You can change the PV system type or reconfigure it anytime. Once the project has been calculated, you can examine its data in the Analysis, create reports, or download its data in CSV.
