We will outline the core terms and conditions for purchasing the ClimData and Solargis 1.0 (Prospect, Evaluate) services, and answer some of the basic questions related to the topic.
VAT ID requirement for EU customers
EU registered companies that want to purchase Solargis services need to have an EU VAT number that can be validated at https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/#/vat-validation.
In case you do not have a EU VAT ID yet but are in the process of obtaining one, get in touch with our sales team to discuss a suitable solution.
Taxes
All prices published on our website or quoted in our offers are without any tax. Solargis is a Slovakia based company and is required to collect 20% VAT from all Slovakia based customers. Solargis does not collect taxes from customers from other EU countries having valid EU VAT ID, or from customers based outside the EU.
FAQs
Is it okay to share purchased datasets with third party engineers and potential project investors?
As per our standard terms and conditions of data use for single user, data shall be used only by the Customer for his/her personal and/or internal business use. Sharing data with third parties without prior written consent of Solargis is not allowed.
This applies to the data itself (CSV/XLSX), which should be confidential between your company and Solargis, and only can be shared under consent. But you can share the PDF reports from climData and Prospect to 3rd parties.
Situations where Solargis would typically grant consent for sharing of data by Customer with a third party include:
Project developer needing to share data with their technical advisor
Project developer needing to share data with contracted EPC company
In such cases consent is granted on the condition that Customer has responsibility to ensure that the third party with whom data is shared follows terms and conditions of data use and does not further share the data.
When it is required to share the data with several independent third parties, we require a purchase of multiple user or open license. Please contact us if you wish to receive a quotation for a multiple-user or open license to Solargis data.
