You'll learn what the Overview section of an Evaluate project shows: the energy system selector and each of its indicators (system type, dataset used for simulation, temporal resolution, simulation status, options menu, and the Edit button), the Project info, Location, and Primary energy system tabs, and the analysis overview tabs that summarise solar resource, climate, environment, and PV statistics.
The Overview section is shown by default when you open a project. It is where you choose which energy system or dataset to evaluate, review the project's basic information, and get a quick summary of the analysis results before opening the detailed charts.
For an introduction to all six sections of the project navigation menu, see Working with Evaluate projects.
Energy system selector
The energy system selector lets you choose an energy system or dataset you wish to evaluate.
Energy system selector: The analysis section will show data based on the selected energy system or dataset. Depending on your project activation stage, you may select between automatically generated Time Series and TMY P50 data or created GTI/PV energy systems. Energy systems are created using the energy system designer. Project assets (energy systems and datasets) are sorted based on the datasets available in the project, with primary dataset assets shown first.
Energy system type indicator: Shows whether the selected system is a GTI or PV energy system.
Dataset used for simulation: Shows information about the dataset used for the simulation of the selected energy system.
Temporal resolution indicator: Shows what temporal resolution data was used for the simulation.
Temporal resolution time frame: Shows the time frame for the resolution data.
Selected energy system status: Indicates the status of the energy system simulation. Non-calculated systems have a simulation icon next to them to start their simulation, and calculated systems are accompanied by a chart icon to access their analysis data.
Energy system options menu: Additional options provided for the selected energy system.
"Edit" button: Allows you to open the Energy system designer and edit the energy system directly from the Primary energy system tab. You can also simulate the energy system from here. Neither option is available to read-only users.

Note: The energy system selector lets you select between available energy systems or calculated datasets, allowing you to compare data and evaluate the differences for various energy systems.
General info, location, and primary energy system information
The Project info and Location tabs show you basic information about your project, such as its name, current stage, date created, or time zone. You can open their additional details by clicking the respective links. The Primary energy system tab shows you basic information about your primary energy system.

Project analysis overview
The Solar resource, Climate, Environment, and PV statistics tabs show you a quick overview of the core parameters in the respective category. Detailed analysis can be explored in the Analysis section using the navigation menu or by clicking the "Detailed analysis" link in the respective tab.
Availability of individual overview tabs depend on the dataset/energy system selected, e.g., PV statistics is shown for PV energy systems only.
