You'll learn what the Energy systems section of an Evaluate project offers: the primary energy system overview with its design preview, the alternative energy systems table and how to customize its columns, what each energy system status means, and the options available for creating, simulating, renaming, duplicating, and reporting on your energy systems.

The Energy systems section gives you a detailed overview of the energy systems created in your project, and it is where you manage them. You can also access the Energy system designer and create your energy systems from here.

The energy systems page

The page offers an overview of the primary energy system, its design preview, and the alternative energy systems table. Details of each energy system include its status, last simulation dataset resolution, DC installed capacity, and more. Columns to display can be customized using the icon to the top right of the table.

Note: The maximum number of energy systems in a single account is 50 and the maximum number of energy systems per project is 15.

Energy system statuses

Each energy system in the table carries a status indicating where it is in the simulation process:

  • Not configured: The energy system has been created but does not contain an array or is not entirely configured and ready for the simulation.

  • Not calculated: The energy system has been created and is ready for the simulation, but has not yet been simulated.

  • Simulating: The energy system simulation is in progress.

  • Calculated: The energy system has been simulated, its data is available in the Analysis section, and you can generate its PV reports.

  • Failed: The simulation of the energy system has failed and has to be re-executed to get the analysis data.

Energy system options

The following options are available on the energy systems page:

  1. Create an energy system: Click to create a new GTI or PV energy system.

  2. Primary energy system indicator: Shows that the energy system has been set as primary.

  3. Simulation button: Use to simulate a non-simulated energy system. Simulation may cost you Solargis units (SGU), depending on its size and previously simulated energy systems.

  4. View analysis: Quickly switch to the analysis section to evaluate the energy system's potential performance. Only simulated energy systems have this option. Available for simulated energy systems only.

  5. Energy system options: Re-run the simulation, rename or duplicate the energy system, or generate reports.
