Software version

14.7.2025

2.4.0

General

  • Automatic sign-in of newly registered users has been temporarily disabled to prevent registration issues.

  • Latitude and longitude values are now displayed with standard six-decimal precision across the entire Solargis platform for transparency.

Prospect

  • An “Open in” button has been added to the Project Manager toolbar menu, enabling users to open projects in supported applications such as Evaluate (Figure 1).

Evaluate

  • Customers are now notified by email when their subscription has fewer than 200 SGUs remaining.

  • Simulation of PV systems using 1-minute TMY P50 data is now supported for higher simulation accuracy, with a new transient thermal model integrated to more precisely capture PV module temperature inertia and its impact on system performance (Figure 2).

  • The buildable radius area for designing energy systems has been increased to 3.5 km from the reference point, expanding design possibilities.

  • Users can now hide project site location information in the application and in reports or data exports for confidentiality.

  • A toggle for internal/external unavailability and snow losses has been introduced to multiple PV system performance charts (Figure 3), allowing users to account for these losses in:

    • PV Statistics summary,

    • PVOUT Total,

    • PVOUT Specific and PR,

    • and PV Long-term degradation.

  • A new chart displaying expected yearly values for different Pxx has been added to the GHI & DNI Uncertainty pages.

  • Various user experience and textual updates have been implemented.

Energy system designer

  • Read-only users are now able to open PV designs to explore and interact with them, without the ability to save changes.

  • The scene has been expanded by 125% to improve design visibility.

  • A move/copy tool has been introduced for restricted areas and lines to speed up and simplify the design process.

  • GTI specification can now be copied for use in the Time Series API, enabling data downloads for the configured location.

Reports & exports
  • Users can now choose which stage-specific parameters from the PV simulation to export when exporting energy system data. This enables more detailed analysis by allowing you to select results from particular stages of the simulation process (Figure 4).

  • Solar and meteorological data can now be exported as a ZIP file containing separate files for each exported year.

  • Simulated 1-minute TMY data can now be exported.
