Application release notes

Important: Please note that not all newly released features are guaranteed to be backward compatible; in some cases, adjustments to existing projects or re-simulation may be required to ensure full functionality.

General

• Location names on map pins now show only for saved projects.

• Name sorting is now case-insensitive and diacritic-aware platform-wide.

• Redefine Customer IDs in SG2

  • Introduced a new, simpler sequential Customer ID format, replacing inconsistent legacy formats going forward.

  • Old Customer ID is kept for backward compatibility, but shown less prominently.

Home/Dashboard

• Invitation-based registration success screen button now reads 'Continue to sign in' instead of 'OK'.

• Registered Analyst Devices  in User Profile now show devices across all of a user's customers, not just the active one.

Store

• Customer Admins can now edit their address inline during Store checkout (for that order/invoice only)

Prospect

• Added 'Open in Evaluate' cross-sell prompts at various Prospect touchpoints and redesigned the data-download section to lead with Evaluate.

• The 'Open in' project menu now offers an Evaluate option even without access, showing the usual subscribe/no-access dialogs.

• Customer Admins without Evaluate are directed to the Evaluate purchase page.

• Changed the 'Activate project' banner from an aggressive yellow warning to a calmer blue info style.

Evaluate

Application

• Reworked List of Projects page:

  • New Recent/My projects/Shared/Workspace menu items, split Owner & Access into separate columns.

  • Added filtering for the Owner and Access columns in the project list.

• Swapped the Location and Primary Energy System cards on the Overview page so coordinates are more prominent.

• 'Last modified' on the Energy System list now reflects the last design change, not simulation/report runs.

• Reintroduced the DC/AC ratio column to the List of Energy Systems (hidden by default).

• Report-generation error messages now link directly to 'run a simulation first'.

• Increased the max Energy Systems limit per project from 15 to 50.

• Failed-simulation flow now shows 'Rerun simulation' and the normal (pre-filled) Simulation dialog instead of a separate error dialog.

• Added a new 'Solargis Services' page in Evaluate for browsing, requesting, and tracking Services.

Analysis section improvements

• Chart exports now use a consistent, identifiable filename format across Prospect and Evaluate.

• Chart-to-CSV exports now round values to match the on-screen chart tooltips.

• Added a 'Wind speed and wind direction by month' chart alongside the existing yearly view.

• Hourly-profile charts now show a median (P50) line alongside the mean.

• PVOUT bull's-eye heatmap now shows small negative nightly-loss values with one decimal place instead of hiding/rounding them.

• Standardized power vs. energy unit labels across Evaluate's PV statistics and Solar resource pages.

Data exports & Reports

• Users can now archive, unarchive, and delete Energy Systems, Data Exports, and Reports from a project.

• Replaced the PV/GTI type dropdown with a dialog to name and configure a new Energy System before creation.

Energy System Designer

• Added a 'Save & close' button to the unsaved-changes dialog in ESD.

• Added the Electrical Layout View, allowing users to edit plant electrical connections in a schematic (IEC 60617-style) view using the same objects, parameters, and context menu controls as the 3D scene, with real-time diagram updates (Figure 1).

• Improved how users can move a segment with the move tool; users can now move objects instantly with real-time position feedback, numeric input, and clear conflict messages if a drop isn't valid (Figure 2).

• Users can now duplicate objects directly via the toolbox, Ctrl/Cmd+D, or the right-click context menu, with the same positioning controls as Move; duplicating a segment carries its array along with all properties intact (Figure 3).

• Now users can choose between Simple & Terrain-Aware Backtracking, allowing users to simulate and compare no-backtracking. Using terrain-aware algorithms on undulating terrain to quantify potential gains before paying for a vendor's add-on.

• Added adjustable operational row spacing; backtracking now runs on a terrain-aware operational row spacing (auto-set, separately adjustable for sunrise/sunset) for both simple and terrain-aware modes, without altering physical row spacing.

• Added Device Performance Profiles; users can now choose a rendering fidelity preset between Essential, Balanced, or Full Experience (Balanced by default), rendering can also be customized through settings (Figure 4).

Data & Services

• Several UX fixes on the Services page: removed confusing filter counts, clarified pricing/status wording.

• Customers are properly charged (reserve SGU after request, deduct on delivery) for Service requests with a defined static price.

• Files delivered for non-datasource Services are visible and downloadable directly in Evaluate.

• Service-delivered files can now include an optional description (filled by Solargis during delivery) for improved context.

PVCC

• Users can now create and connect an Evaluate account with a PVCC account in a simplified way.
