This thorough review must be conducted for every component **planned for publication**, as it serves to validate the information for public use in integrated applications. **Experts in the field** carry out the review, meticulously comparing the entered parameters and data against relevant publications, datasheets, and established electrical principles. This rigorous evaluation not only enhances the credibility of the component but also contributes to its confidence class within the catalog; the more detailed and accurate the data entered, the higher the **confidence class** will be. Ultimately, a robust review process fosters trust among users and promotes the adoption of reliable components in photovoltaic designs. ## The review process You can **submit components for review** to our expert team. Prerequisites to the review submission: - The component must have a **"Validated"** status. - The component's data sheet must be [uploaded](https://kb.solargis.com/docs/adding-component-manually#adding-images-and-attachments). Our team of experts reviews every value you add to the component, reads the attached documentation, and compares the data to their resources. The process is thorough and extensive. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/ae2d502f-6c0d-4865-a68e-43ad8da61149/Images/Documentation/image-1784201332964.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-16T21%3A23%3A37Z&se=2026-10-16T22%3A23%3A37Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=UaaVdXxUojOwaxPIxZzF7A4PivrXiNn4V3SQsDvF%2BfY%3D) ### The review results Once the review has been completed, your component's status will change to one of the following: - **Review approved** - the component passed the review process and can be published. - **Review rejected** - the component did not meet all the requirements, and its data needs to be amended. The review results are indicated on the component details page in the right sidebar under the confidence class. If your component has been **rejected**, you will find the reasons there. Use the **"more" l**inks to read the relevant result details. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/ae2d502f-6c0d-4865-a68e-43ad8da61149/Images/Documentation/image-4CNOFR3H.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-16T21%3A23%3A37Z&se=2026-10-16T22%3A23%3A37Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=UaaVdXxUojOwaxPIxZzF7A4PivrXiNn4V3SQsDvF%2BfY%3D) You can edit the rejected component, rectify the mistakes, or fill in missing values. Once you **finish editing your component**, it will be **validated again.** If the validation has been successful, you can repeat the review procedure again (send the component for a review). Alternatively, you can **archive it** and use it as a template for future components. > [!TIP] > **Note**: You can not **edit, delete**, or **archive** components once the component's review is in progress. ### Viewing the review notes If your component's **most recent review was rejected**, the reviewer's notes for each disputed parameter are shown on the component's details page, alongside the corrected value. This helps you understand exactly what needs to be fixed. - Review notes are only visible to users from the **company that created the component**. - For each disputed parameter, you'll see the reviewer's **note**, the **corrected value**, and, if the corrected value is numerical, the **difference** from your originally entered value. - Notes from the **current review** are highlighted in yellow. - Notes from **previous reviews** are highlighted in grey and marked with a clock icon. Hover over the icon to see the date of that review. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/ae2d502f-6c0d-4865-a68e-43ad8da61149/Images/Documentation/image-1784201345644.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-16T21%3A23%3A37Z&se=2026-10-16T22%3A23%3A37Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=UaaVdXxUojOwaxPIxZzF7A4PivrXiNn4V3SQsDvF%2BfY%3D) > [!TIP] > **Note**: If your component's most recent review was approved, no review notes are shown. ## Review and confidence class The [confidence class](/v1/docs/component-confidence-classification) of the component is also reevaluated during the review. After a specialist reviews all the provided information and attachments, the requirements for classification of the confidence class are evaluated. The **new confidence class is determined** based on the fulfilled criteria. You can see which criteria have passed and the final class in confidence class card after the review.
