# PAN and OND file upload

**In this document**

We will explain how to upload PAN/OND files and use them to create new components.

## Prerequisites

- An active Solargis PV components catalog account.
- Admin rights, for editing purposes. Creating components from PAN/OND files

The catalog lets you upload component data using PAN/OND files. You can upload a single component at a time or you can upload multiple items in bulk.

## Uploading PAN/OND file

To upload components in a PAN/OND file, navigate to **My components** page:

1. Click the **“Add new”** button.
2. Select the **component type**you want to upload. (PV module or inverter).
3. In the next popup, select PAN/OND file upload.

In the next dialog, upload your PAN or OND files, respectively. Here, you may also select the datatypes the component should be compatible with, but this can be done later.

## Final changes

Once the components are imported and everything is in order, they may be marked as **"Validated"**. Alternatively, they may remain in a**"Draft"** state if changes are required.

Each component undergoes [validation](/v1/docs/component-review-process), and the results are available on the detail screen for your review. You can address any findings if necessary.

> [!NOTE]
> **Tip**: If a component is marked as**"Validated,"** you can proceed with further steps without making any changes. However, if you wish to send components for review, this must be done manually one by one, as bulk processing of components is not currently supported.

## Usage in Evaluate

You can use uploaded and validated components in your PV designs within the Solargis Evaluate application. To connect your catalog account to Solargis Evaluate, see [this guide](/v1/docs/pvcc-api-integration). For instructions on how to include your components in PV designs, refer to [this guide](https://kb.solargis.com/docs/array-configuration#pv-module-selection) for PV modules and [this guide](https://kb.solargis.com/docs/inverter-and-transformer-configuration#inverter-selection) for inverters.
