You will learn how to manage your projects, attach labels, assign them to other users, and more.
Prospect project management
You can manage all your Prospect projects on the projects page. The core project management options are as follows:
Manage access to a project: Assign access to multiple users and set their access privileges.
Attach labels to project: Categorize and filter your project using custom labels.
Update project data: You can update your older project data if they are outdated.
Archive/unarchive projects: Archive projects that you no longer work on or pull a project from the archive to continue working on it.
Multiple project management: You can assign labels, archive it, or manage access to multiple projects at a time.
Most of these actions are available to admin users only. If you are a standard user of Prospect, you may not be able to perform all these changes.
Managing access to projects
You can assign multiple users to any available projects on your account. You can assign view only access, make a new owner of the project, or remove access to a project.
You can do that in three ways:
Click the access icon: This will open the project access manager.
Using the project options menu: Click the three-dot menu and select “Manage access”.
In the selected project toolbar: The toolbar icon opens the project manager for the selected projects. Use this option when assigning access to multiple projects at once.
The project manager will open.
Search user by name. Only users in your currently selected company will be available.
Click the “Add” button to add the user to the list.
Once in the list, change user’s access level (viewer, owner, or remove access).
Attaching labels to a project
You can categorize projects based on your criteria by using labels. Labels can help you search and filter projects more efficiently.
Use the project options and choose “Assign labels”.
Alternatively, click the label icon in the top project toolbar when a project is selected.
Available labels can be used to filter the projects.
If the label you want to use is not in the list, you can learn how to create new labels here.
Updating project data
Only project owner can update the project data.
At Solargis, we constantly strive to provide the best possible service using the most up-to-date models and services. If a model or service gets an update, projects that are eligible for data update will be highlighted. All you need to do is click the “Update project data” in the notification. You won’t be able to make any changes to the project until the data is updated.
Archiving the projects
You can archive any of your projects, at any stage. Once required, you can activate it again to continue working on it.
Use the project options menu and select “Archive”.
Selected project can be archived using the top toolbar. You can archive multiple projects using this method.
You can view archived projects using the relevant filter. The number indicates the number of archived projects.
You can activate back any of your projects using the same methods.
Multiple projects management
Selected actions can be performed od multiple projects at once. Once you select two or more projects, available actions will show in the top toolbar. Choose your action and continue in the next steps.
Select two or more projects.
Alternatively, you can select/deselect all displayed projects at once.
Bulk actions will show in the toolbar (assign labels, archive, manage access, or export).
If you have a project with outdated data in your selection, you won’t be able to perform bulk actions. Only project export is permitted in such case.
