You will learn how to work with the maintenance log in the Analyst application.

Maintenance log in the Analyst application helps you track and explore maintenance events for the given dataset. A maintenance log may contain the details of all maintenance activities, including date, type of activity, affected equipment, or personnel involved. Maintenance records are usually added during the dataset import and can be edited in the Metadata editor.

You can open the maintenance log from the main menu via Analysis/Maintenance log. It will open for the currently selected dataset.

Examining the maintenance events

The Analyst’s maintenance log provides a timeline view of the recorded maintenance events for the given dataset and the log’s basic metadata. The maintenance log is always displayed for the selected dataset only. You cannot see logs from multiple datasets at one time.

  1. Maintenance events timeline: View the duration between maintenance events in the timeline.

  2. Aggregation: You can set your preferred aggregation in hours; the chart updates in real time.

  3. Maintenance log metadata: Read log’s basic metadata such as first/last record date and time, longest or shortest maintenance periods.

  4. View full maintenance log: Click to open the full maintenance log with its details.

  5. Toolbar: Zoom in/out and customize the chart as required.

Tip: If dataset contains separate maintenance logs for specific parameters, you can select and display those one by one using the Column dropdown selector. Maintenance events for all parameters in the dataset are displayed by default.
