Logging into your account
After the successful registration with the Solargis platform, you can proceed to logg in:
Navigate to the Solargis Applications home page.
Click the “Log in” button, enter your email address, and click the “Continue” button. If your account belongs to one of our integrated customers, you will be redirected to their SSO login dashboard to log in with your linked account. If not, you will be prompted to add your password on the next screen.
Important: If you have forgotten your login details, click the Forgot your password link and follow the on-screen instructions to reset your password.
Before you proceed any further
Before starting any projects or working on any existing ones in any of the applications, you must select the correct company account. This ensures you are connected to the correct subscriptions and related projects. Selecting the correct account is crucial, as it directly impacts your access to essential resources and collaboration with your team.
Company versus personal accounts
The platform offers two types of accounts - company accounts and personal accounts.
Company accounts (admin) are created by our team upon request. Company account admin can request and buy subscriptions, add users, or view orders and billing history. They can also assign users to a purchased application. They can also add other admin accounts.
Personal accounts can be created by a company admin (invite) or requested directly by the user through the Solargis applications homepage. They can be linked to multiple companies, ensuring users can work on several projects for different enterprises.
Feature Access | Admin | Regular User |
---|---|---|
Company Administration | YES | NO |
User Invitations and Management | YES | NO |
Application Subscriptions | YES | NO |
Integrations Access | YES | NO |
API Subscriptions | YES | NO |
Billing & Payments | YES | NO |
Project-level user access
In the Solargis platform, user rights are not limited to admin and regular roles. There is also a project-level access definition, meaning that a user’s rights can vary from one project to another:
Viewer users: Can view the project, open the Energy system designer, and test design changes. However, they cannot save changes, modify project ownership, run simulations, or manage project access.
Owner user: Has full control of the project. Can edit project details, manage access, run simulations, and create or manage project energy systems in Solargis Evaluate.
Switching a company
If you have received an invitation from a company to join their Solargis account, your account is automatically linked to it.
If you want to switch to a different company, our support team must link your personal account to it. The same applies if you have created the account using the application’s homepage.
To switch to a company:
Click the account name in the main navigation.
Select the company you want to switch to from the list.
Tip: The company list can be extensive. Scroll through until you find the one you want to work with. Ask your Solargis account manager which company you should select to acquire the correct subscriptions and project capacity.
