# How to import components

**In this document**

You will learn how to import components to the catalog.

## Prerequisites

- An active Solargis PV components catalog account.
- Admin rights, for editing purposes.

## Importing the components

> [!WARNING]
> **Important**: Available to **Editor**and **Admin**users only.

Many manufacturers and component providers already possess structured data about their products. To streamline the process of adding this data to the catalog, we have introduced a data **import**feature****that allows for file uploads.

You can upload components using **PAN/OND** files or as an **XLS**file. XLS files must be structured for PVCC to recognize. This structure is provided in the respective **template**. You can upload one or more components in a single upload.

To initiate data import, navigate to **My components** page:

1. Click the **“Add new”** button.
2. Select the **component type** you want to bulk-upload (PV modules or inverters). You can upload up to 50 components at a time.

In the next popup, select the format you want to upload:

- **PVCC XLS** - select if you want to upload the componets data in the XLS file. Read more about XLS component upload [here](/v1/docs/xls-file-upload).
- **PVSyst PAN/OND** - select if you have the data in PAN/OND file format. Read more about PAN/OND component upload [here](/v1/docs/pan-and-ond-files).
