# Creating a Solargis account

**In this document**

You'll learn how to create a new Solargis account: signing up directly on the Solargis applications page (free private account, Prospect access only, unlinked to any company until linked by sales) or by accepting a company invitation, which links your account to that company immediately.

## Creating Solargis account

You can create a Solargis account in two ways:

- **Directly** on the [Solargis applications page](https://apps.solargis.com/home/).
- **By receiving an invitation** from a company. In this case, you will be immediately linked to the company after the account creation.

### Creating an account on the dedicated Solargis web page

Creating a private Solargis account is free. Navigate to the [Solargis applications page](https://apps.solargis.com/home/):

1. Click the **“Sign up”** button.
2. **Fill in your details.**
3. Submit by clicking the **“Create account”** button.

> **Note**: If your email address belongs to one of our integrated customers, you will be redirected to the related SSO page to choose an account to register with.

You will receive a confirmation email in which you must confirm your email address. Once confirmed, you can log in to your new Solargis account.

**Important remarks about your private account:**

- Your account is not linked to any company after the registration. If you want to link your account with a company account or purchase subscriptions, contact our sales team.
- You will have access to Prospect application only.

### Creating an account by invitation

You can create your account by [receiving an invitation](https://kb.solargis.com/v1/docs/company-account-and-user-management#inviting-a-new-user) from an existing Solargis company account.
