# Creating new projects from the Home dashboard

**In this document**

You will learn how to create a project from the dashboard and enable it in your applications.

## Prerequisites

- An active Solargis account.
- Admin rights, for editing purposes.

## New project from the dashboard

Creating a new project from the dashboard offers the convenience of enabling it to any of your available applications simultaneously.

To **create a new project** from the dashboard, navigate to the **Projects page** and follow these steps:

1. Click the **location**on the map to **drop the pin**.
2. Alternatively, enter the **coordinates or address** in the search field. The pin will be dropped to the entered location. You can also change the **project’s time zone** here if required.
3. Enter the project's name, assign labels (if required), and **select the apps** you want to enable it in.
4. Click the **“Create”** button to create the project.

> [!TIP]
> **Note**: Once created, you will be redirected to the project overview page, and the project will now be listed on the Projects page. You can open it in any subscribed application.

## Changing project properties or application visibility

You can attach labels, change the project owner, add a note, or rename it from the [Project details page](/v1/docs/dashboard-project-details). If you want to share project between applications (e,g., Prospect project to Evaluate), you can learn how to do it [here](https://kb.solargis.com/docs/managing-access-to-projects#sharing-projects-between-applications).
