# API subscriptions

**In this document**

You'll learn what the API section of Customer admin shows about your API subscriptions — subscription type, available calls, activation status, and expiration date — and how to generate access tokens and grant or remove a user's API access.

The **API** section of Customer admin is where you review your API subscriptions to Solargis services and control which of your users can use them.

## Prerequisites

- An active Solargis account.
- Admin rights, for editing purposes.

## Opening the company admin

You can access the company admin from the **Dashboard** or by clicking your name icon and selecting **Company admin**.

## API subscriptions

The **API** section provides information and lets you manage your API subscriptions. These subscriptions represent an allowance to request [TMY and Time Series data](/v1/docs/time-series-and-tmy-data) from our servers and datasets active in your Prospect subscription.

You can see the data **subscription type**, number of **available calls**, activation **status**, and **expiration date**.

Use the **"Manage"** link to:

- View general API subscription information, including its ID.
- [Generate and manage access tokens](https://kb.solargis.com/apidocs/generating-api-tokens).
- Assign/remove user access to the API.

## Managing user API access

To subscribe to an API access for a user:

1. Click the **"Manage"** button for the selected API subscription.
2. Switch to the **Users and user tokens** tab.
3. Switch the **toggle on/off** to activate/deactivate the API subscription to the user.
