# 2026 model release notes

| 15.7.2026 | **Updated PM and AOD data for 2025**: Particulate matter (PM) data, used in the soiling model, and AOD data, originally sourced from the NRT operational model for 2025, have been replaced with CAMS EAC4 reanalysis data. |
| 10.4.2026 | **Historical nowcast availability extended**: Historical nowcast data is now available from 2023 onwards. **Easter Island nowcast coverage**: We have extended nowcast availability to cover Easter Island. Data for this region come from the GOES-E nowcast processing; no nowcast history is available for this segment. |
| 23.3.2026 | **Extended reanalysis and enhanced wind data**: We have upgraded Wind Speed/Direction sources to ERA5 Land to ensure higher consistency for historical and TMY datasets. **Optimized delivery and model availability:** We have synchronized operational model management with satellite calculation times, enabling earlier access to Himawari and IODC data and reducing the overall availability delay for Monitor and nowcast data. **Localized timezone resolution:** Relative date parameters (e.g., forecastFromDay, DAY-1) are now resolved using the request’s timeZone, standardizing logic across Push and API services with a UTC fallback. |
| 19.3.2026 | **Improved data processing**: We have introduced new corrections for IODC data processing, mitigating reflections from existing solar power plants (India, UAE). |
| 10.2.2026 | **Improved Forecast blending for Europe:** We have implemented an updated blending scheme for forecast services covering the European territory. By incorporating ICON and IFS ensemble models into our processing chain, we have enhanced the reliability and consistency of forecast data across the region. |
