| 15.7.2022 | **Prospect database Version 1.2** We updated Solargis Prospect database to Version 1.2. Some of the improvements and new features are: - Prospect database updated and now includes 2021 - User admins receive a notification that the Prospect subscription is going to expire 30 days before the expiration date - New registration workflow for the new users - Updated Terms & Conditions |
| 15.5.2022 | **Fixed Uncertainty Bounds** - Previously, there was a numerical instability due to the calculation of PVOUT uncertainty margins and sometimes extreme values for shading periods were present in the data. We have introduced limits to the uncertainty bars to avoid extreme values in the case of numerical instability. **PVOUT Far Shading Fix** - The far shading calculation for PVOUT has been fixed. In the cases where the inter-row shading was calculated for FIXEDONEANGLE and ONEAXISHORIZANTALNS geometry systems, the shading of the direct component was not functioning properly. This does not affect the GTI values, which was already correct. |
| 27.4.2022 | **Nowcasts available for Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Papua** - Nowcasts have been extended in the Himawari region and now sites in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Papua can receive new forecast updates every 30 minutes during daytime hours. |
| 10.4.2022 | **GTI Stability Fix** - The GTI calculation method has been upgraded with an improved numerical stability for every small sun elevation |
| 20.3.2022 | **Extended Coverage for Kamchatka and South Patagonia** - Now available is the extended coverage of the Kamchatka peninsula and South Patagonia regions for historic and monitor time-series data. The data available for the former is full historical data, and for the latter the data available begins from 2018-01-01. |
| 4.2.2022 | **Updates to the Historical Time-Series Data** - Yearly files for satellite models up to 2021-12-31. - Yearly files for ERA5 meteo-data up to 2021-12-30 (with some data replaced with the final version). - The IFS historical forecast now extended to 2021-07-01. - The satellite model for 2022-01 was reanalyzed with fixed AOD (Aerosol Optical Depth). Original re-analysis from 2022-02-03 was replaced on 2022-02-04 evening. |
| 2.2.2022 | **Updates & Improvements to Forecast** - The global numerical weather prediction system used (from ECMWF), IFS forecast model, has been upgraded to a global coverage with increased resolution from a partial regional coverage previously. More information can be found here. - Historical forecast is available with global coverage from 10/2021 and onwards, and is being continuously extended to previous years. |
| 25.1.2022 | **UImproved gap filling of historical data (minor change in values)** - One of the key benefits of the Solargis time series data is that the data have no gaps. Yet, there might be gaps in the archive of satellite images that are used as input in the Solargis model. For time stamps with missing satellite data, we apply intelligent statistical algorithms to deliver datasets without any gaps. The gap-filling of our accurate and validated time series historical irradiance data has been even further improved, leading to a minor change in values. |
| 5.1.2022 | **Updated TMY Pxx Calculation** - Solargis offers TMY data which is information from a multi-year time series summarized into a Typical Meteorological Year (TMY), which reflects the most frequent weather conditions of a particular site, consisting of synthetic months. These synthetic months are updated and the generation of the TMY data is now further accelerated. |
